Welcome to the Highgate Medical Centre Online
We are a small traditional family doctor service. We aim to provide the highest standards of modern scientific and caring general practice.
Our surgery is modern and purpose-built (on one level only) providing a variety of services on site. The Surgery is situated in the centre of Sileby on Storer Close, just off Highgate Road. There is parking for patients and it is close to local bus routes.
Our Mission
To provide our patients with the highest standard of health care which is comprehensive, friendly and accessible. To listen to the views of our patients. To treat all patients with courtesy, respect and as equal individuals.
Patient Participation Group
We have an active Patient Participation Group called Friends of Highgate Surgery. The aims of this group are to provide feedback to the practice about its service and act as a support and resource for patients. Please contact reception for details.

Medical Students
Our practice is a teaching practice for the University of Nottingham. With the supervision of our GPs and other members of the team, medical students may, with your consent join your consultation either face to face or by telephone. This allows our future doctors to learn clinical aspects along with communication skills and to understand patient views about their care. We appreciate your help with their learning. Please let us know if you have any questions about our medical teaching.
Research
As a practice, we are committed to being involved in clinical research to help improve outcomes and experiences for patients.
This means that we are proud to be able to provide our patients with the opportunity to participate in carefully selected research studies relevant to them. Together, this helps us to develop new treatments and medicines for the future.
An overwhelming majority of patients who participate in research studies have a positive experience. There are many different types of research available for people to take part in.
To find out more and to help us to continue to improve healthcare, please speak to a member of staff. Alternatively, you can search for research taking place near you here.
Access to medical records
From the 31st October 2023 you will be given full prospective access to your medical records via the NHS App and all other patient services apps such as Airmid and SystemOnline.
